Welcome Lin!
Let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for not voting Sarah Palin into office! That must have been hard, being a Republican, to have to see that woman on the Republican ticket. She is truly a disgrace, and I offer my sincere, heartfelt thanks to every Republican who said 'no' to her candidacy.

I really hope Obama will surround himself with caring staff of all political parties who will take the treasure of our national wildlife seriously. Between the slaughter of the last American Bison in Yellowstone, the killing of the Fallow Deer on the California coast and the slaughter of the great mammals of the North, we are doing such wrong.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feelings here, Lin. I really appreciate that!

Dear Kaysha,
Thank you for explaining how you handle things on your farm. Clearly, you understand that wildlife is precious and I really appreciate you taking the time to say so.

And...hey...Obama won!!!

I am a conservative Republican. I voted for Obama because of this horrendous, cruel woman. She is a disaster. I do not understand HOW Alaskans voted her in. Her cruelty is unacceptable and the rest of us need to do everything we can to stop her cruelty and behavior towards our wildlife. For what she has done to wolf pups alone, she should be thrown in jail. I detest her! Than God McCain lost last night! Thank God!! Maybe our wildlife will stand a chance now that the world knows how barbaric Sarah Palin is!

I live in a rural county in oregon where wild animals do threaten livestock, however as a livestock owner I take special precautions with my cattle and sheep to keep them out of harms way. I understand that wild animals like wolves, bear, coyote, and wild cats play a vital role in the natural ecosystem and should not be removed or threatened in anyway...so I say OBAMA 2008

There has been an interesting and radically alternative set of Internet actions put together against Palin. Aside from the now-traditional, join-a-Facebook-group action, there are campaigns like the one on The Point, which reaches to channel those frustrations into tangible action, by having group members commit to ideas like pledging to finance a full-page ad in swing state newspapers:

Online action isn't just for the frustrated - it's for those who want to see something get done and action against Palin is helping to pave the way for something interesting and new.
