Unfortunately, because so many government officials have decided that they work for corporations rather than the American people, I believe that voluntary, public watchdogs are our only real protectors. I couldn't agree with you more that it is outrageous that families have been left to find out for themselves what is being done to them, and then to try to defend themselves from compacts between government and corporate perpetrators.
