I have been meaning to write a piece on Sam Farr. It's outrageous that the USDA has not answered his questions!

Please add U.S. Congressman Sam Farr (Monterey & Santa Cruz Counties) to the list of U.S. elected officials asking USDA questions about LBAM original designation as a Class A pest and expressing concerns about the negative health and environmental consequences from the fall 2007 aerial LBAM spraying. Congressman Farr is still waiting for the USDA to respond to his questions and concerns.

I must say, I agree with you 100%. I appreciate Sen. Lee's letter, but my own position is that I don't even need an EIR to be conducted. The law protects me from anyone discharging on my property without consent. What CDFA/USDA did on the Central Coast was illegal, and if they do it in the Bay Area, it will also be illegal.

Our Senators, Representatives and other elected and appointed officials need to demand that this law be obeyed.

Josh -
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Our numbers are growing constantly, and it's nice to count you among us! You are very welcome here and I hope you'll comment again.

About time, I hope more and more people get wind of this and do something about it. It makes no sense to waste all this money, and risk the health of people for a moth that even the CDFA says is harmless.

Writing letters is a move in the right direction, however, we all deserve better than a letter.

Our elected officials need to write legislation that would forever stop aerial pesticide spraying over urban populations, near drinking water, polluting our air with plastics & pesticides, endangering the San Francisco Bay with pollutants, endangering all living things, etc.

This is not only the legally correct way to deal with the LBAM situation since it would help all Americans but is also the morally and ethically right thing to do.

Talk is cheap but actions speak volumes.
