I appreciate Sen. Lee's letter, but my own position is that I don't even need an EIR to be conducted. The law protects me from anyone discharging on my property without consent. What CDFA/USDA did on the Central Coast was illegal, and if they do it in the Bay Area, it will also be illegal. Our elected officials need to write legislation that would forever stop aerial pesticide spraying over urban populations, near drinking water, polluting our air with plastics & pesticides, endangering the San Francisco Bay with pollutants, endangering all living things, etc. This is not only the legally correct way to deal with the LBAM situation since it would help all Americans but is also the morally and ethically right thing to do.
