Schwarzenegger Now Working for CDFA, Apparently.

We’ve talked about political corruption. We’ve talked about lies. We’ve talked about Schwarzenegger accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars from pesticide manufacturer Stewart Resnick and CDFA Ag. Secretary A.G. Kawamura.
Nonetheless, I was completely blown away by the following quote taken from the Scotts Valley Press Banner:
Schwarzenegger said CheckMate will undergo tests of its potential for eye, inhalation, respiratory and other irritants, known as the “six-pack” toxicology test.
Reminded that the six-pack test isn’t a complete EIR, Schwarzenegger spokeswoman Rachel Cameron said the governor was “confident we will prevail” in the appeal of Burdick’s ruling.
We will prevail? We?
It’s my understanding that a superior court ruling was made against CDFA and that CDFA was going to appeal it. Where does Schwarzenegger fit into this? When did he become one with CDFA? When did they hire him?
I simply couldn’t believe my eyes reading this quote which incontrovertibly convicts Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of tremendous impropriety in the following ways:
1) It proves him to be allied with CDFA rather than the people of California whom he serves.
2) In attesting his confidence that ‘we will prevail’ he reveals that his agenda is to spray the people of California, before any of his six-pack toxicology tests give ‘results’ regarding spray safety. His agenda is supposed to be protecting the people of California - not prevailing over superior court rulings or working for CDFA.
3) Having exposed himself as a man with improper allegiances which are counter-productive to his duties as a public servant, Gov. Schwarzenegger has shown himself to be incapable of the scientific impartiality that would make him an appropriate facilitator or judge of the safety testing of pesticides which will affect the health of millions of citizens.
What is, perhaps, most baffling about this man’s behavior is the open way in which he reveals his inappropriate allegiances and attitudes. As he says, “Any of those kinds of real big, powerful special interests, if you take money from them, you owe them something.”
Apparently, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger owes Stewart Resnick so much, he is willing to poison 7 million Californians to make things even-Steven. Apparently, he owes CDFA so much, he’s joined their ranks and become one with them, to the tune of hoping ‘we’ can overturn a court ruling that has demanded that CDFA obey the law and conduct an EIR to protect public health. He’s hoping ‘we’ can break the law.
Watch this man destroy his own political career by taking Big Ag and law-breakers as his partners and guides, winning the mistrust and hatred of millions of voters in the process. His legacy as Governor, his name in history, is going to be one of unprecedented shame.

The Governator has always stated that he backed CDFA’s plans to aerial spray for LBAM and that the LBAM pheromone spray was completely harmless based on tests.
Of course, we all know that the Governator is wrong since no tests for short and long term heath risk assessments have been completed on the LBAM spray and over 600 people have already had various negative health effects from the spray in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties. Even CDFA states that they can not guarantee that the most vulnerable populations would not be harmed from the LBAM chemicals, which is enough to stop the LBAM Project. Additionally, no environmental impact studies have been completed on the LBAM Project as a whole to know of any unintended consequences with the LBAM Project.
Several civil, constitutional, and environmental state and federal laws have already been violated in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties alone. It is beholden on all of us to get our communities to file federal lawsuits to stop the LBAM Project since USDA is the driving bureaucracy behind it the LBAM Project.
So, the politics behind the Governator’s position to move forward with the LBAM Project does have a foul odor:
- no short and long term health risk assessments;
- no plans to conduct long term health risk assessments;
- CDFA unable to guarantee the health of the most vulnerable populations;
- no environmental impact report for any unintended consequences to the environment and all living things, including endangered species, etc.
Rachel Cameron is the Governor’s Deputy Press Secretary. Here’s some interesting information about Ms. Cameron. This article was written in 2006:
“Rachel Cameron, 23, of Davis, has been appointed press assistant in the Office of the Governor. She recently graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Cameron previously interned in the press office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $32,500. Cameron is a Democrat.”

It is apparent by Rachel’s change in job titles in 2006 as “Press Assistant” and then in 2008 to “Deputy Press Secretary” that Rachel is moving on up.
Since we now know who speaks on Arnold’s behalf, here’s how we can reach Ms. Cameron to let her know what we think of Arnold’s insidious alliance with CDFA and Suterra; no short and long term health risk assessments; and no environmental impact report.

In the meantime, all of us need to get our communities to join together to file a federal lawsuit based on the violation of state and federal environmental laws.
We might as well add the third party now included in the big three “WE” noted by the Governor’s spokeswoman in the above article - Attorney General Brown! Yes, that’s right! Brown is also pro-spray otherwise why would his office have DEFENDED the CDFA in the case brought by Santa Cruz city/county against the CDFA. Big government, big money, big corporations (who are all happily aerial spraying and poisoning people around the world) are going to be a tough group to beat. We need to ask our leaders in Sacramento to spray themselves with the exact same treatment, covering the capital and the homes of all officials, their children, and their grandchildren, and the homes and offices of all Suterra employees and relatives of Resnick. With third party testing to confirm its the same stuff.
Then, prove beyond a shadow of doubt what damage the LBAM has done to date anywhere, and why they are so convinced that preemptive war and total eradication are the only options. Then, I might be willing to shut up and stay in my home and take the monthly showers…

We’ve heard some very bizarre comments from Ag. Secretary Kawamura that he and his wife were out walking in the spray! I’m afraid I sensed he was lying when he said that. It’s my belief that they know exactly how dangerous the spray is.
On the other hand, I heard an anecdote recently that , some years ago, some company pulled a stunt of having their own employees take baths in DDT, I believe it was. This was in order to prove how safe it was. I wonder what happened to those people?

supposedly, kawamura and steve lyle were under one of the planes when they sprayed and they felt just fine. kawamura also said he and wife enjoyed a lovely evening out in the spray.

I’ve read that Ag. Secretary Kawamura claims he was in the spray and was just fine, well goody for him, I wonder if he has an 80 year old mother like me who he’d like to have sprayed every month Mine is moving away next week because she was made ill by the first spray and she is to afraid they may spray here again. They left for the November spray, at her doctors suggestion. At their ages she and my father are really not able to leave their home every month for 9 months, if that would even work. Just last month her symptoms finally left.
So Secty K, if you are reading any of this, I feel that you have some kind of vendetta against the weak and oppressed. That would be the homeless that can’t ge out from under the spray and children, elderly and those of us with chronic illness that can’t keep from being affected by it. Survival of the fittest?

Regarding Kawamura and any of his family being under the spray:
Don’t get distracted with the possibility that Kawamura said something that is true.
He has been telling blatant lies regarding the Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM) since he arrived in Monterey and Santa Cruz in 2007.
Kawamura Lies:
1. Lie: CDFA only uses EPA Registered Pesticides.
1. Truth: CBS news investigated and found out the checkmate spray used on Monterey and Santa Cruz was NOT EPA registered and that Kawamura had lied on San Francisco CBS News.
2. Lie: Professor James Carey is NOT an Entomologist
2. Truth: CBS News investigated and found that not only is Professor Carey an Entomologist, but he also is a world class invasive pest biologist and Professor Carey determined that LBAM has been in California for at least 30-50 years which denies the CDFA’s basis of LBAM emergency.
3. Lie: If even one person is hurt Kawamura will stop the application of pesticides directly on the people and their children.
3. Truth: After the spray when Jack Wilcox, a perfectly healthy 11 month-old baby, went into respiratory arrest, Kawamura not only wouldn’t stop further applications, but he would not return any and all communications from Jack’s father, Tim Wilcox. Tim is a Major in the United States Air Force earning his Masters Degree at the Naval Post Graduate School to further serve his country. His son’s life was saved in a hospital, but baby Jack is currently on steroids and likely to be for the rest of his life to further keep his airway open. Can you even imagine that being done by Kawamura to your baby son!
4. Lie: the pesticides applied directly onto people and their children are non-toxic to humans and their pets.
4. Truth: three government agency reports did limited tests on some of the chemicals in the spray and all tests found the pesticides registering as a moderate level 3 toxin.
5. Lie: Checkmate is safer than other pesticides used in agriculture.
5. Truth: Other pesticides used in agriculture are NOT ALLOWED to be dropped directly onto people and their children.
6. Lie: The Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM) is dangerous to California’s crops, forests and backyard gardens.
6. Truth: There is no incident of LBAM ever being a significant pest anywhere on the earth and two superior courts had findings that NO damage had occurred in California as well.
7. Lie: CDFA will appeal the decision of both courts and certainly overturn them.
7. Truth: After a big public fanfare where CDFA promised to appeal both decisions in both courts, CDFA very quietly withdrew their appeal.
Enough for now. I simply don’t have the time just now to list ALL of the Kawamura lies. When I get some more time, I will continue the list. Since Kawamura has been the head of the CDFA, whenever he opens his mouth, the lies come out.
If people’s lives weren’t being destroyed, if children’s futures weren’t being sacrificed, if pet and wild birds and other animals weren’t being killed by Kawamura’s leadership and lies, it would almost be funny to hear his lies. As it is, it is not funny and this excuse for a man is not a bit funny. And these lies listed above don’t even include those related to Kawamura stealing $100’s of millions of dollars of California taxpayer emergency funds to do the damage he does. Thanks again to all comments above for bringing the truth to other people in the State of California and thanks to this website for offering a media to do so.
