donna,

i'm a different donna so as not to confuse things but i thought of joyce when u posted so i'm glad she shared here too. for some of us the spray lasted 3 months and now they are designing one to last 90 days which would could mean 6 months for those of us very sensitive to it.

i never heard of agent orange causing endometriosis but i was diagnosed with it (i refused to be surgically diagnosed which is the only way to know for sure) and it basically feels like wolves tearing apart your abdomen so i'm really sorry to hear the govt. inflicted that upon women.

Hi Donna, Glad you wrote your personal experience. I have heard of quite a few women with different problems since the spray, that they never had before. I am post menopausal. 15 yrs since a period. I started spotting and have had pms, cramping and low back pain. I guess there is really no way to prove all this ,as we are just shot down for our many symptoms. I know my body well and I know what happened to me. I wish more women would write about this and their experience Peace and Blessings Namaste Joyce

Dear Donna -

I appreciate you coming forward with this information. Yes, there were numerous menstrual irregularities reported including early and delayed menstruation and also, at least one family reported discolored urine and discharge. Also, several menopausal women over the age of 65 recommenced menstruation.

This is very frightening.

Now, whether this was due to the endocrine disruptors which directly effect hormone function, to the pheromone which does goodness knows what to the human reproductive system, or to some of the unknown ingredients, I cannot say. All I know is that you are not alone in what you experienced.

Agent Orange, when it was sprayed in the 60s, caused Endometriosis - an agonizingly painful condition in which endometrial tissues grow outside of the uterus ,attaching to internal organs, causing menstrual irregularities and causing pain that can be disabling. There is no cure for Endometriosis, but women are often diagnosed with it when all other conditions have been ruled out (such as cancer, etc).

So, why, like Agent Orange, does LBAM spray cause Endometriosis-like symptoms? I think, Donna, we've just hit on a very important question. I think this deserves a post of its own. It definitely deserves answers.

Thank you for sharing your disturbing experience. One can only wonder what would happen to women who were sprayed for 10 years with this garbage.

After visiting Monterey and Santa Cruz in mid-late November 2007, I missed three periods. I now understand they sprayed the area on November 4-10, 2007. I also got a migraine, which happens to me infrequently. I read that the pesticide can stay in the air for up to 30 days.

Until recently, I didn't attach this dramatic change in my menstruation with LBAM spray, but now I think there's a link. In my adult life I haven't missed more than one period in a row.

Just thought I'd mention it in case others had similar health impacts. Of course, I didn't go to a dr. for this, nor do I have proof of the LBAM spray connection but it was very odd for me.
