Thank you for caring and creating a website on wildlife and chemical spraying. The picture of the hawk, and your website header, are very attractive. I live in Florida, where there is a lot of spraying goes on for mosquitoes, and for other insects that are considered dangerous to fruit crops. Aerial spraying of Dibrom, also known as Naled, is being done in our area over the next week by
extremely large Air Force C-130H cargo planes! Seems it is partly as a training exercise. Can read about it here: http://www.homestead.afrc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123165418
I am very concerned. Like you, I am very conscious of the environment and also what I eat or am exposed to. Have been a vegetarian for over 25 years, and was vegan for some of that time.
Anyway, wanted to thank you for helping bring attention to pesticide dangers. It is a really important subject!
Best wishes, Jan

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has a federal order to quarantine the light brown apple moth (lbam). Dr. James Carey, UC Davis Entomologist, has stated that the USDA trade laws in regard to pests is antiquated and needs to be updated in a global market.
